What should I expect when I visit the church?

Picture1You will receive a very warm welcome.  The service is approximately an hour long - there will be hymns/songs of worship, bible readings and teaching and prayer.   We have Communion Service (bread and wine) approximately twice a month.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

We enjoy a range of styles of worship but our services are mainly relaxed and informal.  Our Vicar retired on 30th November 2018.  Some of our services will be led by our Lay Readers (to find out more about Lay Readers visit www.readers.cofe.anglican.org ) and we will have help from visiting Clergy for our communion services. Teaching is always Bible based.  Our worship in song is led by a small but good singing group. We seek and often encounter God’s presence and love.

Our monthly pattern includes…

Communion
CommunionThe Church Family gathers to worship Jesus around His table of Bread and Wine, teaching and prayer. We use different approaches to Communion; Family Communion, and Eucharist.

Sunday Morning ServiceMorning Worship is a service which includes teaching, prayer and worship.

Children are ALWAYS welcome at the services.

Is there a dress code?

No!  Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you. However, at Café Church you may be asked if you want to discuss a question or two informally with people around you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.
