Please find below an introduction to our church leaders and staff members.
Edwina Cooper - Administrator/Warden
We said ‘happy retirement’ to our vicar, Mike Godfrey, after nearly 8 years of ministry in Morley. The post is currently vacant.
Edwina works in the Parish Office and will be the person who replies to your emails to the Church Office.
Mick Cooper - Reader
Jackie Gallop - Reader
Readers are lay people, called by God, trained and licensed by the Church to preach, teach, lead worship and assist in pastoral, evangelistic and liturgical work.
Jackie is a retired civil servant. After moving to Morley from the south in 2000 she considers Yorkshire her adopted home.
Barbara Michell - Deputy Warden
Alan Clark - Warden
Barbara is new to the role and is learning on the job from Alan, having been a member of the congregation since 2003.
Having served as Warden for a while Alan is now training Barbara to take over the reins as Warden in due course.
Daniel Taylor - PCC Secretary
Daniel has been in the role since April and has been a member of the congregation since 2000. Originally from Greater Manchester he has lived in Morley since 1997.
Claire Scaife - Child Safety Officer
Claire is an Accredited Safer Recruitment Trainer and supports safeguarding across the Local Authority delivering safeguarding training for Headteachers and contributing to local safeguarding processes. Her role as Safeguarding Officer for our Church involves effectively safeguarding and protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults and providing advice and support to anyone in our church with safeguarding concerns.
